Post ko na to habang natatandaan ko pa... August 26, Inask ako ni Jon na mag-isip ng gimik para sa birthday ni Kix. Well any surprise would do since it’s been a week since his birthday. But then it still has to be unique and astig. It was lunch time, kasama ko si Adrian, kagagaling lang naming ng class nung magtext si Jon. Medyo nahirapan din kaming mag-isip, then there was this really really wild idea na sumanggi sa isip ko. The setting was perfect!!! Now during that time, Karl Marx was running for Chairperson sa University Student Council. There were some serious threats sa kanya to discourage him from running. The idea: abduct Kix, make it look like na nadamay lang siya sa pagkidnap kay Karl. Well, it’s been two years since we last kidnapped him. It would be epic if we can pull of another one wehehehe. Medyo hesitant pa si Jon to approve that, but then he trusted me na we could do it so it was a go. From that point on, kailangan ng conditioning. Kinondition na namin utak ni kix bout the gravity of Karl’s situation (and exaggerated a bit) so that on the event na kidnapin na namin siya, it would be soooo real. I borrowed Kix’s video cam that day, so we could record his abduction (with his own camera, now that’s bad… hehehe). August 27, D-day. Our end was the kidnapping, and then some other guys (sina AJ yata) na incharge sa mga tao, cake and all. We talked to Romel, para sa aming get away car. Mas okay yun since hindi familiar si Kix sa sasakyan niya. We also talked to the security guards sa Vega, kasama ko si Bone at Adre nun. It was like “Manong may kikidnapin kami dito mamayang gabi kasi birthday niya, plis wag nyo kaming barilin!” Buti naman pumayag. The plan was to do it after ng prayer meeting. After the prayer meeting, I think bilangan pa yata ng boto nun, so Kix went to SU. That gave us the time to practice kidnapping Kix, dun pa kami sa may Kid’s church yata noon. Meron kaming dalang pillow case pantakip sa ulo ni Kix, handcuffs, a pellet gun, and Borg was holding a screwdriver (SCREWDRIVER!!! My gosh what we’re we thinking). Thank God di we lost that pambihira. Ralph was holding the video cam. We had to execute this perfectly without anyone of us talking, or else makikilala kami… And so it begins. What we did was we erased a number from Karl’s phone and have that number text deaththreats. Karl texted Kix to meet him at Vega. He showed him the text messeges. We were hiding sa side ng Vega sa may parking. We had this T shirts cover our faces. Then Karl asked Kix to accompany him sa center kasi may naiwan siyang gamit. So they went up. All of us were hiding and are waiting for them to go down. (Intro ng rock music!) We came from behind. I immediately covered Kix’s face with the pillowcase while two of the guys held one arm each then another guy was trying to cuff him. It was wild! “Ano to!? Ano to!?” Thats how he reacted. The guards was watching us from a distance smiling. Pambihirang adrenaline yan, na iwrestle kami lahat sa lupa. We had Karl shout “Kix wag ka nang lumaban, may baril sila!!!” That was the only time we were able to subdue him. Pasok ang kotse, with Rom driving. Frani, Karl, Kix and I were sitting at the back. I forgot who was infront I think it was Mac. Ralph and Borg was on another car following us. We drove all the way to IRRI recklessly as if were running away from something. Parang ganito ang paguusap sa loob ng car. None of us were talking. Karl: Akala nyo makakatakas kayo sa ginagawa nyong to? Kilala ko kayo! Ang dumi nyong trumabaho. Karl: Ako lang naman ang pakay nyo diba? Pwede bang pakawalan nyo na tong kasama ko. Eto ang powerline!!! Kix: Hindi bro! Hindi kita iiwan! Laban natin to!!!! Naks naman! I could never forget those lines. Then we stopped somewhere malapit sa riles. Nilabas namin sila ng kotse for a while. There was this another car that was following us we thought si Ralph so sabi ni Karl lilipat na daw siya (It turns out na they were nowhere near there so Karl walked hanggang sa may engineering, layo nun!). Kix: Saan nyo dinala si Karl? Then total silence. Kix never spoke a word again. Now at that time we didn’t know Frani was hurt. Napansin na lang niya bakit parang ang lagkit yata ng pawis ko. I turns out na meron siyang cut sa may left eyebrow tumama yata sa bato nung niwrestling kami lahat ni Kix. We drove all the way back to our apartment. Pinasok siya sa apartment nina Jon, bantay si Mac. Kix was lying facedown sa rug. Patay ang mga ilaw. By that time I was so worried. Karl is missing, Frani is bleeding, Jon was worried sick, Kix is hurt, the people who was supposed to be there was not there. And I was responsible for all of this. My God what have I done!? We were operating under God’s grace. At any point of that stunt somebody could get really hurt worse than what happened to Frani. We went inside the apartment, all of us. First time anyone of us spoke to him. PJ: (with a low voice) Alam mo ba ang kasalanan mo? Sabay tanggal ng pillowcase at bukas ng ilaw. PJ: HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRO!!! Sabay bigay ng ever famous mernel’s cake. Hehehe. Sabay kwentuhan na. Umalis kami agad ni Frani, I accompanied him to the hospital with Yan. He got two stiches. Lalo tuloy siyang nagmukhang action star! We promised Kix, we wouldn’t kidnap him again. If ever he was kidnapped again, it wouldn’t be us. |
